Amrita and Raj's Sangeet, Anand Karaj ceremony & reception were a celebration of blending tradition and the modern. The bride has a love of florals and wanted them to be presented in a beautiful way that expressed both her personal love of organic garden inspired designs juxtaposing with traditional aspects that can be found in Sikh weddings. Along with Aman from Amri and Co. we came up with a bright and colorful designs for the more traditional Sangeet, which had a market theme.
The Annd Karaj design was blush, mauve, cream and gold tones mimicking the brides attire. A large Mandap with smilax greenery and hundreds of roses was at the center of the design adding to the breathtaking views of the water and blue skies of the morning.
The final event of the weekend the reception embraced the modern aesthetic with a palette of deep emerald greens, blacks, golds and a pop of deep red found only in the floral designs. Anemone with their dark centers added to the modern look. Florals designs were lush and asymmetrical paired with modern ridged votives and gold laced pattern votives gave a nod back to tradition.
